2011 - Dr. Brad Stueve- Principal - Bellevue East High School

We would like to present the Outstanding Administrator Award to Dr Brad Stueve, Bellevue East Principal  This award honors an administrator for his/her support, interest, and encouragement of the school instrumental music program.
This years’ Outstanding Administrator Award winner is one of us his nominator states.   He served as a head band director, and as an assistant director in the Bellevue Public Schools for many years, prior to pursuing his administrative degree.  There is not a week that goes by where you do not see this administrator in the band classroom. His nominator writes, “The band programs are always given primary consideration when the master schedule is put together.  This allows us to place the most number of students in our programs without conflicts.  He is our biggest advocate, both in the building and at the district level.  No request has been ignored, and I know I will get quick follow up with anything I ask.  He’s the first one to show up in the band room to congratulate the kids on a weekend, and has made the trip to every one of our state contests, districts, and our performances at NSBA and NMEA conventions.
Another recommendation states, “Our principal is, and always has been a supporter of the students.  He shows his support of the music students by attending activities and contests, and commends the students on their performances.  He builds rapport with the students and strives to obtain the resources they need to be successful.  This show of support goes above and beyond just simply attending students’ performances.  One year at our annual Jazz Dinner-Dance fundraiser, he sat in with the jazz band and soloed on saxophone while the students backed him up.”
At this time, I would like to ask Ron Hardin to come to the podium for the presentation of the 2011 NSBA Outstanding Administrator Award.

 Congratulations, Mr. Stueve!
